Criteria for Regular/Contract Appointment
• PhD in the relevant field from HEC recognized university/institution. OR
• Masters degree (awarded after 18 years education) in relevant filed from HEC/PEC recognized university / institution.
• 02 years teaching /research experience in a recognized institution / university / college. OR 2 years professional experience in the relevant field in a national or international organization. Criteria for Appointment on Tenure Track System (TTS)
• PhD from HEC recognized institution with excellent presentation/ communication skills.
• Evaluation of PhD thesis of PhD degree holders from Pakistan must be done by two foreign Experts as per HEC guidelines for award of PhD degree, in case foreign evaluation was not done then the candidate must provide evidence of two publications in Journals recognized by the HEC.

• Candidates applying for Pharmacy & Engineering discipline(s) will also submit a copy of registration certificate of Pharmacy & Engineering Council, respectively along with the application.

• Evaluation of PhD thesis of PhD degree holders from Pakistan must be done by two foreign Experts as per HEC guidelines for award of PhD degree, in case foreign evaluation was not done then the candidate must provide evidence of two publications in Journals recognized by the HEC.
• Candidates applying for Pharmacy & Engineering discipline(s) will also submit a copy of registration certificate of Pharmacy & Engineering Council, respectively along with the application.

• The foreign qualified candidates should attach equivalence certificate from Higher Education Commission of Pakistan.
• In case, degree has not been issued a Certificate /Notification to that effect signed by the Controller of Examination of degree awarding university might be accepted.
• In all cases statement of experience must be supported by certificates from the employers.
•. 3% quota will be reserved for disable persons ifthe candidate is disable he /she will have to submit a certificate from the Provincial Council for Rehabilitation of Disabled Persons of Social Welfare Department.
• In case, degree has not been issued a Certificate /Notification to that effect signed by the Controller of Examination of degree awarding university might be accepted.
• In all cases statement of experience must be supported by certificates from the employers.

• The candidates have to submit 03 complete sets of applications bearing attested copies of degrees, certificates, one photograph for each set and a crossed postal order/pay order amounting to Rs.3000/- for the Rs. 1500/- for the Post of Lecturer issued in favor of the Treasurer, the Islamia University of Bahawalpur.
• Candidates already in service should apply through proper channel, by due date and submit service certificates issued by their present and former employers; otherwise their applications will not be entertained.
• Candidate applying for Regular and TTS basis should apply separately and clearly mention the Post, Campus, Department & Mode of Appointment (Regular/ I S). Prescribed application forms can be undersigned or can also be downloaded from IUB website: (www.iub.edu.pk).
• Candidates applying for more than one post and for each campus shall submit separate application form (s) along with separate application fee.
• The University reserves the rights:
i. Not to fill/withdraw any advertised post/ withhold the appointment against any post, without assigning any reason thereof or consider a person for appointment in a lower cadre against the post advertised.
ii. To short list the candidates on the basis of academic qualifications and experience.
Only short listed candidates will be called for interview.
• To increase or decrease the number of vacancies as per availability of funds.
• Nature of posts can be changed according to the need of the university.
• The University is not responsible if call letters are not received due to any lapse of CourierAgency /Post Office / Telephonic Message & call.
